Leading MOHS & Dermatology Clinics

Mohs Kliniek is a group of three clinics in the Netherlands that cover all aspects of dermatology and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. The clinics specialise in Mohs surgery, a precise surgical technique which is used to treat skin cancer and which has phenomenal success rates. The three clinics are based in Amsterdam, Dordrecht and Hoorn, and all the dermatologists working at them are board-certified and have Dutch and European certification as Mohs surgeons.

Mohs surgery is a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer. During Mohs surgery, thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remains. According to the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the cure rate exceeds 99 percent for new skin cancers and 95 percent for recurrent skin cancers. It has the lowest recurrence rates, highest cure rates and best cosmetic results of any skin cancer treatment.

Our clinics perform approximately 2200 Mohs treatments a year and they are the leading facility for Mohs surgery in Europe. We performed over 10.000 Mohs surgeries.

We have clinics in 3 different city’s; Amsterdam, Dordrecht (nearby and south of Rotterdam) and Hoorn (nearby and north of Amsterdam). Every clinic is individually designed with a nice, modern and warm atmosphere and with particular attention to the needs of their patients. All the clinics meet the highest safety and quality standards regarding organization, safety and hygiene and have all the relevant quality certifications. All doctors are dermatologists and can diagnose and treat the whole spectrum of dermatologic diseases. They are all specialised in dermato-oncologic care (skin cancer, pre-cancer, moles) and in Mohs surgery, a highly specialized surgical treatment for skin cancer.

As the clinics take on patients from around the world, all the doctors and nurses speak English to a good level to ensure that the service they offer is of the highest standard. The clinics are purpose-built to provide a friendly, clinical atmosphere that meets all safety and hygiene standards, meaning patients can rest easy in the care provided by the Mohs Kliniek teams. At Mohs Kliniek every patient is an individual with unique dermatology problems, and each and every patient receives a highly personalised service from the clinical staff.

Also, because all the doctors are dermatologists they can diagnose and treat a whole range of dermatological problems in addition to the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Examples include the treatment of pre-cancerous or atypical moles, as well as other dermatological issues like acne, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.

The clinics also specialise in the treatment of varicose veins. Patients with varicose veins receive an ultrasound of the problematic veins and are guided towards the best treatment option for them, be it laser removal or sclerocompression therapy.

Travelling to our clinics is easy. Amsterdam is a world-class international transport hub and there are countless ways of getting into the city. Many travellers fly into the award-winning Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, while hopping on a train is also a great option – convenient and cost effective, the rail network in the Netherlands is second to none. And of course the road network provides easy access to Amsterdam for those keen to travel by car or coach. We can arrange arrange your stay in the Netherlands, from airportpick-up, hotel-clinic transports and hotelaccomodation.

For those who require Mohs surgery, Mohs Kliniek provides patients with brilliant success rates from skilled surgeons, with many skin cancer patients walking through the doors with the disease and leaving just one day later cancer free.
